innocent target: the mrt commuter

Posted in People and Places by tres on June 1, 2007

he must have entered in the north avenue station and he alighted in the santolan station. what’s wrong with that?

first, i saw him at the back end of the coach that is in front where i am. and i am at the second coach. meaning, he is on the first coach which is usually reserved for women, elderly, disabled and children. i can’t classify him in any of the three.

second, granting that he is with a child (actually he really is with an about ten year old girl, probably his daughter), i am at the front of the train’s coach. this means that there is not much of commuters at that time since if there is a big crowd, i wouldn’t have not end up in that spot. so this means that there can be no need for a special consideration for commuters with children companions. they can still get into the the train easily without the usual pushing, shoving scenario which is very common in ordinary morning rush days. and the way i see it, the child will not, in any way be harmed if they be in the second or third coach. so why the special case? would this mean it is okay for a commuter to be in the first coach if he is with a girlfriend? or with a 10-year old niece or nephew?

this is what you get when you miss riding just behind the train’s operator. ranting against something that never really affected you in any ways.
