sp2: palau (cycle four)
Some random thoughts. A way too late entry for cycle four.
The cycle started with a twist, a tribe shuffle. Before the shuffle, I had already have the following castaways as my favorites; Marvin and Amanda as early favorites then Shaun and Echo became one as the show progresses. So when there was a change in the tribes’ structure and my favorites went to the same tribe which happens to be my favorite tribe also, theres nothing sweeter than that for me.
So the new Koror tribe is now composed of originals Marvin, Echo and Suzuki (and Justine, still considered to be in Koror) with the addition of Amanda, Shaun and Jef. Tara, Louie and Charles, on the other hand, went to Airai to join the original members Cris, Vlad, Troy and Mika.
I thought that the shuffle was one extra castaway too early but still I am happy with the results, so I am still happy with it.
sp2: palau (cycle three)
Apart from being posted late, as usual this entry is incoherent. Just my random thoughts.
There was an overlap but I will still to a cycle that begins with the reward challenge and ends in a castoffs’ faceoff. So cycle 3 has these results:
RC – won by Koror earning food and strategy advantage.
IC – won by Koror sending Airai to their first tribal council. Koror gave Jef the immunity bracelet thus she’s safe to be voted off.
TC – Maya was the first castaway from Airai to be voted off by her tribesmate. She got 6 votes against Troy’s 2.
Faceoff – Justine extended her stay in exile after defeating Maya. Maya became the second castoff sent home.
sp2: palau – cycle two
Since I don’t know if a cycle should start with reward challenge and end with the castoffs’ faceoff or should it start with castoffs’ faceoff and end with the tribal council, I’ll just have a cycle composed of RC-IC-TC-CF order. This means that second cycle has this results:
RC won by Koror (their first challenge won)
IC won by Airai
TC – Carol was ousted in the Koror tribe. Final vote out tally was Carol (6) and Charles (1)
CF – Justine won challenge against Carol; Carol officially become the first contestant to exit the game.
The voting out and ouster of Carol was somehow expected by anyone. She has never shown any signs that she can go the distance right from the start. Actually, she has been annoying to her tribe and also to the majority of the viewers. It was a relief that she got the first exit.

SP2: Palau (cycle one)
So the first reward challenge/immunity challenge/tribal council cycle has just finished it’s airing with a “revelation” from the castaway that must have caused her (or him) to be the early target. But the game don’t end for Justine after being voted off. Not just yet. As Paolo in the teaser had told, she/he can still get back but the “how” would be answered in the coming episodes. BUT as a follower of the American counterpart, I already have a clear idea on this. So the plug that we don’t expect the twist is wrong. I knew it would come.

12 days to go to Survivor Philippines: Palau
apparently, CAs were already presented and it was only today i have learned about this.
first impression? majority of them looks good, but can they deliver?
for now, i see that CAs Marvin and Amanda can do good. but of course, it’s too early to place my bet on them.
yani’s hunger
I rarely load credit to my prepaid phone lately since I never really get to maximize everything and the load credit always end up expiring with still substantial value on it left unused. Or worse, out of the blue, that load vanishes in thin air without even knowing it did. Actually the latter reason was the main beef I have while I rarely use my phone nowadays. I hate the feeling of being cheated again so I avoid suffering the same fate I had seven months ago.
on a desperate hope
On my way to work this morning, my mind wanders again on how this daily routine has been constantly “killing” me. As the day pass by doing things that are becoming too monotonous to get me excited about, my life gets more boring to a record-breaking level now. As I am brisk walking, my mind again wonders what I am doing with my life. For five years and counting, I am stuck to a company I wanted to leave for five years and counting also. I am waiting for the moment when “Patience is a virtue” would actually come to terms with my situation. I have been desperate this last few days but it is still not happening. Then I thought of the opportunity I have taken, it seems that I will still have to wait a little more time. Another year in my work station seems to be the idea. While I can still hold on, I just can’t wait to jump out.
So I go with the routine. Log in to my already booted pc then open the email database. Stand up and go to the pantry and stay there for as long as I can. Drink water. Eat. Have a little chat with the messengers. Then go back to the barracks.
I scanned on the emails I received during the weekend. It seems all are spams – all five of them. I was ready to delete them one by one (I don’t want to mass delete them since I want to let the time pass by actually doing something and not just staring at the monitor) when one email caught my attention. (more…)
pet peeve number one
maybe i am just making a big deal about it but i am still ticked whenever media (or anyone at that) call the northern provinces of cagayan and isabela as cagayan valley and isabela province, respectively. it’s as if the official names of those provinces are such and calling them merely cagayan and isabela will make anyone lost.
okay, the idea of adding “valley” in the province of cagayan is to distinguish it from the city of cagayan de oro in misamis oriental (down south). and adding “province” in isabela is to distinguish it from the city of isabela in basilan (also down south). but why do we need such distinction? to reduce confusion? i don’t think so. the more i have been confused with the idea. who should i follow now, what my teachers thought me, from the books i read, and what i have known since i was born or the things the media is telling us. unless there are changes in things i have not known.
stuck on a weekend
Saturday (and Sunday) was a TV marathon for me as I have it planned. Although I have already known the results of the two favorite reality shows, I wanted to see it’s weekend replays. First was the three hour finale of Survivor: Tocantins, then there’s the performance replay of the American Idol finale. Then I also waited for the return of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
