S:G after day 33: Paranoia and deception

Corinne was voted off next. I have to admit I was not surprised by the outcome of this week’s tribal council and I was somehow wanted Corinne out also. I have just realized she’s not really that nice girl I suppose to like in earlier episodes.

Anyway, the main “plot” for this week’s episode is for Bob and Corinne try to deceive two from the alliance of five (Ken, Crystal, Sugar, Matty and Susie) that the immunity necklace that is supposedly thrown out in the ocean can still be played. (It was taken by Marcus and was not truly thrown out.) The idea is for one of them to win the immunity, deceive two from the alliance to go with them for the fact that they still have the hidden immunity necklace which will can be their weapon in the coming days. This means he has to make another fake necklace to go with the plan.

Luck seems to be on the side of Bob and Corinne as Bob has won the immunity challenge thus they now only have to try to speak to two of the alliance of five and try to blindside Matty. (more…)

I forget (again…)

Got another entry aired this morning on Morning Rush’s Top Ten.

For the record, I am 2-1 when Delle’s turn to do the top ten, and 0-2 when it is Chico’s. I never dared again to join if it was Chico’s turn. It will just further deflate my already busted ego. I still can’t move on with the two times I was taken for granted.

Yeah right…

Of course not. I will still keep on trying until I get through his high standards. On the second thought, I think it is not whether who’s doing the top ten. I think the keyword is “forget”. The two times my entry got through on-air, that word was on the topic.

Today’s Top Ten topic was “things to say when you forgot a day/date” (whether it is a birthday, anniversary, date, etc.)

My entry made it on the first batch at number 4. It goes—

Pasensiya na ha, nakalimutan ng yaya ko. Hindi niya pinaalala sa akin. She’s such a loser talaga.”

The idea of the entry, as Chico mentioned, was from one of Bubble Gang’s more popular skit today Ang Spoiled by Michael V. (as Yaya) and Ogie (as Angelina).

I want to forget…

Posted in People and Places, Personal, Radio, Random Thoughts by tres on October 17, 2008

Been a regular listener of the RX’s Morning Rush with the tandem of Chico Garcia and Delamar for more than three years now. Their Top Ten has been my daily dose of “coffee” waking me up in the lazy morning. Their laughter is just contagious that starts the day going. Sure there are a lot of such programs in the morning but Morning Rush remains to be my choice listening habit every waking hours not only they bring pop music but that they always give listeners entertainment balanced with information and interesting views (of them and their listeners) on varied topics.

I have tried contributing my own entries on some of their TOP TEN hoping I would hear my entries before I would leave home. So far, my batting average is 33% (1 out of 3). Seems that Chico ignored my entries as these never pass to Chico’s standards/taste. While it can be true, I am just thinking that I just never heard it read since I am already on my way to work. Still, it hurts to think that Chico believes my entries are worthless to be read on air. I envy those guys who always have their entries read.

But I was glad that Delamar didn’t ignore my entry last Wednesday. The topic was Top ten things you want to forget.

And this was my entry that made to the top for the bottom-half (#6) for the last batch:

“I want to forget that until now that I am past marrying age, I am still single.”

Thanks to Delamar for reading my entry and even putting it on the top even just for the bottom up. Hearing this on the radio really made my day.

Now, I want to forget that Chico has twice ignored my entries. -sob-
